ARCHIE (AJ) SCOTT It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Archie AJ Scott, father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Archie is predeceased by his parents and his sister Helen; he is survived by his wife Velma; daughters, Diane and Beverley; sons, John and David; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Archie was a veteran of the Second World War, having served with the Royal Canadian Artillery. He retired from the Canadian Wheat Board in 1980 after 37 years to play golf and curl. He was a founding member of the Olympic Hockey, as well as a Commissioner of the Little Canadian Baseball Association. In keeping with Archie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
