EDNA CATHCART July 25, 1924 July 23, 2011 It is with deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Edna Cathcart, loving mother of Wendy and Brian (Merrie) and grandmother of Eric and Sarah. She is survived by her sister Delores Kaminsky; sister-in-law Cath Belton and Ilse and Judy Cartman as well as many nieces and nephews. Aunt Edna was incredibly special to David Cartman; and Lynn and Bob Hamilton and family. Edna was a kind hearted, caring and grateful lady who meant so much to all who knew her. She loved children, was an amazing knitter and baker, a faithful member of the Salvation Army and well loved resident of West Park Manor. Private burial will take place at Brookside Cemetery. A celebration of her life memorial service will be held at West Park Manor, 3199 Grant Avenue on Friday, July 29 at 11:30 a.m. If friends so desire, donations in Edna's name can be made to the Salvation Army, Winnipeg East Community Church (Building Fund), 401 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB. The things you did for others, Your kindness and your love Were a day-by-day reflection Of our Father up above, And so this brings a loving prayer That God will richly bless All your days in heaven With love and happiness.
