HELEN YANCHUK 1916 - 2011 On Friday, July 22, 2011, Helen Yanchuk passed away at the Poseidon Care Centre at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by her husband Michael Yanchuk in 1985, by father Michael in 1952, mother Vera in 1957, by sisters Nellie and Anne, and brothers Mike, John, Henry, William and Alex. She is survived by her sister Mary Gregory of Gimli, MB, many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Helen was a sewing Machine Operator and she worked along side her husband Michael at his Tailor Shop, Garry Custom Tailors until their retirement. The family would like to thank the caregivers on the 3rd floor at Poseidon, especially in her final weeks. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, if you so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Aunts are special people, Aunts are kind of like a friend and a second mom, all in one.
