Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARVEY CLIFFORD ELLIS Harvey passed away on July 24, 2011. He is survived by his compadre Emmy, four children, two brothers and aunts. He started his career as a meat manager with The Husdon Bay Co. at Lynn Lake, Manitoba. He played hockey, baseball and fished while there. He made the all star baseball team and was to fly by floatplane to Flin Flon but a fog came in so they spent the weekend drinking and playing cards. In his spare time he dug rocks out of the sand behind The Bay House then hauled mud from a beaver dam and grew the first garden in Lynn Lake. He was transferred to Red Lake, Ontario then to Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba. He left The Bay and was a supervisor for IGA stores. He then became a sales rep for Clairol Inc. He left there to work for Obsco Beauty Supplies, then started his own business, Winnipeg Beauty Supply for 25 years. He was successful at everything he tried except marriage. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, darts and gardening. Special thank you to Dr. Harris, Jessie, Cheryl, Caroline and Kin. Pallbearers are Ernie McLeod, Craig Pruden, Dennis Kurytnik, Garry Jarema, Yogi Plante and Alex Perez. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with reception and interment to follow.
