DONALD JOHN HRYNCHUK It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Dad, Papa, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law Donald Hrynchuk early Sunday morning July 24, 2011, at the age of 73. Papa Bear was surrounded by his loving son, daughter-in-law and family. Don was predeceased by his wife Frances, parents Annie and Micheal; sister Dorothy; left to forever cherish his memory is his only son Frank, daughter-in-law Lisa and his two special turkeys Quinn and Nash; brothers: Steven, Joey, Dave and Jack; sisters: Betty, Helen, Kathy, Joyce; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family; best Buddy Eugene and many friends. Don was born on March 23, 1938 in Kreuzberg Municipality. He spent his younger years in Prairie Grove, Manitoba later moving to Winnipeg. He married the love of his life Frances. He was a jack of all trade, but first and for most an auto mechanic by trade which lead him to becoming part owner with his brother Dave at the D S Auto Service Sales in Transcona. Don enjoyed his yard and planted an insane amount of trees every year, so if you ran over any with the lawn mower you would never hear the end of it. He loved his garden, camping, fishing, and hunting but above all he spent most of his time with Frank, Lisa, Quinn and Nash. We think he liked to babysit his grandsons who at times we were very surprised he didn't tie up (HaHaHa) or vice versa. In his retirement, Don and Fran followed Frank and Lisa to Lorette to be near them. He was the proudest Papa around when his two grandsons were born. They were his lifelines; he never missed a hockey practice or game. He truly was his grandsons' biggest fan. Don and Lisa had a very special bond and that will always continue in her heart. Most of all he was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend but in the end he was truly his son's best friend. We would like to thank Dr. P. de Moissac and the nurses at Ste. Anne Hospital for their kind words, compassion and support in his final hours. Papa's passion was to watch his son and grandsons play hockey. He also was a strong believer in the sport that all children should have an opportunity to play it. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lorette Minor Hockey, Box 36, Group 50, RR2, Lorette, MB R0A 0Y0. In keeping with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, July 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
