Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCATHERINE HUNNIE (nee FILL) 1913 - 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother on July 26, 2011 at the Betel Nursing Home in Selkirk, MB. Catherine is the wife of the late John Hunnie who passed in 1981. Left to cherish her memory are sons Eugene (Janet) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON and Ronald (Dorren) of Libau, MB; daughters Phillis Mousseau (Richard) of Winnipeg, MB and Debra Mozel (Larry) of Lac Du Bonnet, MB; brother Harry Phill of Winnipeg, MB; sister Olga Woodvine of Toronto, ON; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and many more relatives and friends. Catherine grew up on the family farm in Poplar Park, ran the Poplar Park General Store with her husband for many years and raised five children. She loved to garden, travel, knit, crochet, bingo, crossword puzzles, cards and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was a very loving, giving, warm hearted person, you never left hungry but always loved. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 10:00 a.m in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB with Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow at the Ukrainian Catholic Church yard in Poplar Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine's memory to the Children's Wish Foundation.
