Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS ELEANOR ROWE It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the death of their loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and cousin on Saturday, July 16, 2011. She leaves to mourn her daughters Joyce (Ron) Buchwald and Lorraine (Thomas) Henley; grandchildren: Heather Henley, Lindsey Henley, Hilary Henley, Gordon (Tess) Rowe, Brenda (David Pena) Rowe, David (Crystal) Rowe, Sherry (Blaine) Rowe, and Shane (Christie) Rowe; great-grandchildren: Jason Rowe, Gary Rowe, Kyle Rowe, Amanda Rowe, Joshua Rowe, Braydon Rowe, Hailey Rowe, Brett Rowe, Jeremy Zurba and Jessica Zurba. There are numerous extended family members. She was predeceased in 1990 by her loving husband Robert, of 53 years, a loving and devoted son Wilfred in 1993, her eldest son Elmer in 2006, her parents William Walker in 1922 and Ellen Walker (Fair) in 1971, brother Ernest Walker in 1982, sister Mae Stenhouse in 1979, her daughter-in-law Helen Rowe in 1965, and a little granddaughter Arlene Rowe in 1962. The family wishes to thank the following people: John and Sarah Pasternak, John and Lorna Devos, Ken and Kathleen Warkentin, Helen Tucker, Virginia Pascal, Hope Toporowski, the staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home, the wonderful people from We Care, and many other friends and neighbours who assisted Mrs. Rowe. Funeral service was held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from the First United Church in Dauphin with Ilene Dowd officiating. Sandra Dowhan served as organist, accompanying the First United Church Choir. Interment followed in the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lawrence Drewniak, Billy Morgan, John Helash, George Fisher, Ken Hafenbrak, and John Devos.
