MARGARET SIGRUM GESKE (nee VIGFUSSON) After a short and courageous battle with cancer, peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2011 with her family by her side. Margaret is survived by her children Charlene, Douglas, Charisse (Barry Campbell) and her precious grandchildren Ian and Taryn, her brothers and sisters, John (Judie), Donald (Peggy), Gilbert (Betty), Raymond (Lorraine), Doreen, Shirley (Les), Barbara (Ken), along with numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Rudy, son-in-law Nick, sisters Thora and Daisy. Margaret was born January 22, 1934 to John and Jonina Vigfusson, grew up on the family farm in Howardville, and made her home in Riverton. Mom enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Mom was loving and kind, and her family meant everything to her. A special thank you to her sister-in-law Peggy and brother Donald who have done so much for Mom these past several years when her health was failing. Also, thanks to Frank for his help and friendship to Mom over the years. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at Arborg Hospital, Arborg ambulance, doctors and staff at 6E and palliative care at St. Boniface Hospital. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A private family interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care. You will be forever in our hearts and memories. We love you Margaret, Mom and Amma.
