MICHELLE BETH MOYER (ROSENBERG) December 8, 1958 - July 14, 2011 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michelle Moyer (nee Rosenberg) on Thursday, July 14, 2011, with her family by her side. Michelle will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her loving dad Abie, sister Naomi, grandparents Norma and Alec Rittberg, Molly and Fred Rosenberg, and mother-in-law Vera Moyer. Michelle leaves her family with broken hearts and will be sadly missed by her husband Andrew, children Ashleigh and Danika, mother Pearl Rosenberg, sisters Brenda (Frank) Dahle, Cara and Lainie, Cindy (Rob) Yusim, Marlee, Lauren, and Adam, and Bruce Palansky, Noah and Lexi. She will also be missed by her father-in-law Ralph Moyer, Le'Anne (Greg) Frieday, Dave (Hai Toh Lim) Moyer, and Peter (Ella) Moyer. Michelle was born on December 8, 1958, the second of four daughters to Pearl and Abie Rosenberg. Family was always important and she had a special relationship with both of her parents. Michelle loved fishing and as the tomboy in the family would go with her Dad. She also helped build the rec room when she was 13 and the fence on Rupertsland Avenue. Michelle attended Talmud Torah Elementary School and was a prized student at Nenad Lhotka Ballet Studio, during her youth. She graduated from West Kildonan Collegiate and then attended Grant McEwen College in Edmonton, where she graduated from Design Arts. After returning to Winnipeg, she established Danileigh Designs and used her talent to create printed clothing and jewellery. She worked at Corby's Distilleries, Flame and Comfort Lifestyle Boutique, and Corey Design. Michelle then established her own company entitled Amazing Space and was just beginning a new adventure when illness struck her. Michelle loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was never afraid to take risks and whatever she touched transformed into a work of art; whether it was cooking, baking, designing rooms, or her organic flower gardens. Each and every day she would follow through with her priority to dance to a song like no one was watching. This fall, Michelle and Drew would have celebrated their 30th Anniversary. As a family they loved to go camping where they would fish and swim. Michelle loved nature and the outdoors where she would spend hours walking or gathering berries to make jams or jellies. Michelle loved to play board games, cribbage, and Mah Jong with her weekly group. Michelle had a special relationship with each of her sisters. They would often reminisce about their childhood memories. In October, the four sisters completed a life cycle event by having a B'not Mitzvah together. Michelle's exuberant personality enabled her to forge many friendships. Three years ago Michelle joined the Goddess Group, a group of thrill seeking women who went on out of the box adventures. Through this group, she formed relationships and met incredible women whom she admired and adored. Michelle was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in April 2009, exactly a year after her sister Naomi's diagnosis, followed by a diagnosis of Lynch Syndrome in March. Although cancer ravaged her body, her inner strength, will to survive and determination helped her live life to the fullest and she had a positive attitude filled with hopes and dreams of adventure. The funeral was held on July 17, 2011 at Congregation Etz Chayim Synagogue, officiated by Cantor Tracy Kasner Greaves. Pallbearers were Rob Yusim, Bruce Palansky, Paul Stein, Daniel Levy, Cobi Billauer, and Michael Meyers. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Dahle, Sandy Rubinfeld, Jacqueline Meyers, Tammy Singer, Kimm Brickman, Leah Aron, and Pam Atnikov. The family would like to thank the staff at both CancerCare Manitoba and the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate treatment. A special thank you goes to our extended family and friends for all of their support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Love you forever

The obituary has just reached me on Michelle's death. I want to tell you how that saddens me. I do remember her years ago, and am pleased to hear that dance was with her throughout her life in some way. I am glad that it gave her pleasure. My sympathies go out to her family.
