FLORENCE CAROLINE MANDRYK-WATSON (nee TARLISKY) My name is Dianne and this sweet, little treasure is my Mom who was called to be with the Lord on Friday, July 8, 2011 as she fell into a very peaceful sleep. Mom was a very unique person who loved life to the full extent and loved to talk to all people and animals. She was most happy when she was in the company of people, especially her family. She is survived by children: Donald, John (Debbie), Dianne (Randy) and Dale (Donna). Her grandchildren are Jacquie, Ken, Jocelyn, Lindsay, Nicole and Jenna; great-grandchildren are Brendan, Kevin and Mary, and ex daughter-in-law Sylvia. Mom was born on August 27, 1924 in Grandview, MB to Harry and Annie Tarlisky. Annie passed in 1933 and Mom at eight years old was the oldest of five girls, the youngest two weeks. Her sisters are Jean (deceased), Mona (deceased), Delores (deceased) and Marie. Grandpa Tarlisky later married Bessie and were blessed with Bethea, Gail, Darrell (deceased) and Andree. Mom met and married Alexander Mandryk on February 17, 1943 in Elm Creek, and later moved to the Duck Mountain area of Manitoba for a number of years There were sad times as a son died at birth between Donald and John. Times were changing and they moved to Winnipeg settling in Brooklands, where they lived for many years. After Daddy passed away in 1980, Mom managed as well as she could and was not one to sit around and feel sorry for herself, so did knitting, and lots and lots of crafts. Growing up, we attended Calvin Presbyterian Church and Mom was also a Girl Guide leader for over 25 years Her cooking was to be compared to no-one. Years later, Mom met and married Dick Watson and he passed in 1996, so Mom was again on her own. She kept busy in her garden, in Matlock, MB and loved being out in the lake area. Health issues were creeping up on Mom so the house was sold and she moved to Winnipeg Beach to the Lodge and was there for a year until she moved into the Betel Home in Gimli, January 2006 where she resided until her passing. The staff loved Mom for being so colourful as you could always get some pretty good advice on any subject from Mom. We were so very pleased to know she was not alone when she passed as Sue told us of the evening Mom passed as she was there. Mom, you will be missed by us so very much as that cute little smile and tilt of your head when we walked into the room to see you on our visits will remain in our hearts forever. To the Betel Home, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the love and caring you showed our Mom. Mom did not want a funeral or fuss so she has been cremated and there will be a private family gathering in the fall at the Elm Creek, MB family plot. Missing and loving you always, Your Loving Family XOXO

  • Well Mom, it has come to 4 years at 10:45pm tonight - July 8, 2015 that you have been gone, and I have no idea where time is going. This year seems to be hitting me hard, so not sure if you are trying to talk to me or not but I am definitely listening and Randy and I are surrounding ourselves with better people -- more spiritual and no drinkers, smokers, violent people etc. We miss you so much and pray that you and Daddy are having a good time. Well, take care until the day comes when the Good Lord calls me home and you will be there to meet me. I will be so excited to see you and Daddy again, so bye for now and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND THE WEEKENDS ARE JUST NOT THE SAME WITH NOT GOING TO VISIT ON A SUNDAY AND HAVING DINNER AT THE HOME OR GOING TO THE EUROPA. EITHER WAY, RANDY -- YOUR SON-IN-LAW AND I ALWAYS ENJOYED OURSELVES WITH YOU AND YOU, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, WAS PROUD TO SAY MY HUSBAND WAS YOUR SON-IN-LAW BECAUSE I KNOW I MADE SOME BAD, BAD CHOICES BUT YOU WERE SO HAPPY WHEN I MET AND MARRIED RANDY AND I KNOW DADDY WILL LOVE HIM ONCE THEM MEET ALSO. SO, MOM AND DADDY, TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER AND MISS YOU BEYOND WORDS AND LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. LOVE ALWAYS, RANDY AND DIANNE... • Well, today is August 27, 2013 which would have been MOM'S 89 BIRTHDAY. MOM, WISH YOU ALL THE BEST AND HAVE A SUPER DAY WITH DADDY AND YOUR FAMILY THAT ARE ALREADY GONE. Randy and I miss you so much and it hurts not to be able to buy some nice items and take them out to Gimli and see your cute smile as your face lights up as no matter whatever we brought you, you were so delighted. Take care and hugs and kisses to Daddy too. Love always Randy and Dianne and Brooklyn Kimberly and Bristol Caroline who are our kittens that were born within 5-10 minutes of the Good Lord taking your spirit to Heaven, so we feel you had something to do with this. If so, THANKS SO MUCH FOR THEM. XOXOXOXO - Posted by: RANDY AND DIANNE SPRY (DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW) on: Aug 27, 2013
