BEATRICE KOWCUN 1920 - 2011 On Tuesday, July 26, 2011 Beatrice Kowcun passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg age 90 years. Beatrice was a retired employee of the CN Railway. She shared her love of animals and loved to travel with her beloved sisters. Beatrice is survived by two sisters, Mary Kowcun of Winnipeg and Mrs. Olga Blaker (Donald), niece Mrs. June Dust and nephew Russell Blaker of Indiana, great-nephew Fred as well as numerous cousins. Predeceased by her parents Dmytro and Wasylyna and great-nephew, Nathaniel Blaker. The family would like to acknowledge the doctors and nursing staff Unit 1 - 5th floor Seven Oaks Hospital for their caring support. Cremation has taken place at Beatrice's wishes. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, at 1:00 p.m. Kildonan United Church, 187 Kilbride Avenue. Reverend Mary Best will be officiating. Interment in the Elmwood Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined, however, donations may be made in Beatrice's memory to Darcy's Animal Rescue Centre, 730 B Century St., St. James, Winnipeg or to the elevator fund at the Atlantic-Garden City United Church, 725 Atlantic Avenue, Winnipeg. Always remembered and never forgotten.
