IRIS ELIZABETH GAWNE (nee VOSS) 1945 2011 Iris passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on July 26, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Iris is survived by her sons Mitchell and Cory; brother David (Darlene); sister Vivian (Shawn); nieces René (Jamie) and their children Cohen, Christine (Joey) and Ellen and Jacklyne (Ba) and their son Jayden and one nephew Robert (Tracey). She will also be missed by her many friends at Walmart (McPhillips). The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Iris' good friends Joann, Jonathan and Marn for their support and kindness during a very difficult time, and to the nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital, for the kindness and care she received. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
