PATRICK DONALD JOSEPH BULGER October 29, 1939 July 28, 2011 You were the wind beneath our wings' Unexpectedly and surrounded by Hélène, the love of his life, and their treasured children, Patrick Donald Joseph Bulger, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011. He will be forever celebrated and remembered by his wife of 49 beautiful years, Hélène (nee Cyr) and their three children, Michèle (David Olson and their three children, Drew, Savannah and Lexie), Colette, (Jordan, Bromlei and their father Todd Daley) and Don (Denise Muller and their five children, Patrick, Benjamin, Alexandre, Burke and Hayden). He also leaves to mourn his passing, his very dear cousins Des and Pat, great friend Mike Boomer, nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbours that are too many to list. Though Pat was an only child, by marrying his soul mate Hélène, he embraced the friendship and love of his numerous in-laws who were so present during his life, especially during his difficult journey in recent months. To know Pat was to love him. The pain of losing him is immeasurable. Pat was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and was the only son of Don and Grace Bulger, who sculpted him into being the loving and kind man that he was right until the time of his death. In 1993 he was happy to meet his birth mother Margaret and siblings Al, Dan, June, Pat and Mike. He met Hélène in 1957 and knew instantly that she would be the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. Their love story is like no other and their three children and ten grandchildren grew up knowing what it meant to see and feel real love. The love and pride for his family resonated in Pat's voice and in every conversation that he would have with anybody around him. Pat forged beautiful relationships along his life path through his work as a printer at the Winnipeg Tribune. When the Trib closed, he continued to maintain these relationships and found new lifelong friends at Canadian Publishers/Transcontinental where he worked until his retirement. Although his many health issues kept him from doing the things he enjoyed, his intense love, dedication and appreciation of his family were impressive to observe. His routine of phoning each family every day after school to enquire and encourage will be sadly missed. We wish to thank the Emergency personnel who attended, for their care, compassion and the genuine concern demonstrated to the family during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home on Lagimodière Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Amant Foundation. www.stamant.mb.ca Fly with the angels Sweet Man. je t'aimerai toujours. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

- Posted by: Nicole Lafrenière (Friend) on: Sep 01, 2011

  • Pat, I will remember you always for your generosity of sharing your beautiful Helene with me. I smile still when I hear your voice on the phone "Helene it is Louise, I guess I 'll go out for a couple hours" and you would chuckle. .. Thank you Pat, for all the times you simply stopped all to come to yet another rescue of Louise. I have accomplished and grown to be so much more than I might have been without your unselfish love. Thank you! Louise - Posted by: Louise Orr (Family) on: Aug 03, 2011
