ANNE MANULIAK August 16, 1914 - July 31, 2011 It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Anne Manuliak on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 96 years. Anne was born on August 16, 1914 at Birdtail, Manitoba. On October 10, 1933 she married Steve Manuliak at the Rossburn Farms Church. They farmed in the Oakburn area until 1957. They moved to Winnipeg where she resided until her passing. She is survived by her daughter Elsie Taylor, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Matt and Eva Ewanyshyn, her daughter Sylvia (1956), husband Steve (1969), sons-in-law Ernest (1970) and Jim (2009) and by four brothers and two sisters. Anne was a member of the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, where she served in the sisterhood for many years. She was also a member of the UWAC until her passing. Her culinary skills were the envy of all, especially in making borscht and baking wedding cakes. She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener and shared her produce with many. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1175 Main Street. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery.
