Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) PASKARUK 1930 - 2011 With great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of a dear husband, dad and grandpa, William (Bill) Paskaruk, on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at his residence in Selkirk, MB. Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years Sylvia and four children Don (Debbie), Ed (Maureen), Gary (Charlene) and Valerie (Rick); along with grandchildren Brett, Kyle, Kurtis, Kylie and Brenden. Bill is also survived by brother Frank (Sylvia) Bill was predeceased by his parents John and Ann; brothers Alec and Nick; sister Mary. Dad was born on April 12, 1930 and grew up in the Sundown area. He married Sylvia Dolyniuk on July 21, 1955. They lived in East Selkirk for 56 years and just recently moved into an apartment in Selkirk. Bill worked in bush camps in Ontario in his earlier years. He went on to work at Furnaceman Heating and then he went on to work at the Lord Selkirk School Division at Happy Thought School as a bus driver and custodian. Bill then went on to work at Harry's Heating then Pringles Heating and Cooling in Selkirk. Bill was the president of the East Selkirk Hall for 25 years. He was very active in the Ukrainian Catholic Church in East Selkirk as well. Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to casinos and watching sporting events. He always looked forward to November for deer hunting at his brothers place in Sundown. The family would like to thank Tom Pringle for being such a good friend. Dad and Tom had many years of working with each other. Tom's kindness will not be forgotten. The family would like to thank the Selkirk E.M.S and the Doctors and Staff at the Selkirk General Hospital; a special thank you to Dr. Fuchs for his many years of continuing care. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 in the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, East Selkirk, MB at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow in the East Selkirk Cemetery. His pallbearers will be Pete Bilinsky, Ivan Paskaruk, Tom Pringle, Wayne Solta, Rick Paskaruk, Kyle Paskaruk and Brenden Setter.
