DIANE ELIZABETH MCLAUGHLIN (ALLAN) November 8, 1940 - July 31, 2011 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Diane Elizabeth on Sunday, July 31, 2011. Loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, auntie and dear friend to many. She will be forever remembered with love by husband Lloyd, sons Brett (Karen), Glenn (Carrie). Nana cherished her grandchildren, Ashley, Curtis, Corey, little Katie, and a grandchild due in January. Also left to miss her are brothers and sisters, Neal, Carol (Dave) Waddell, Wes (Dianna), Lane, brothers-in-law Hector, Ken, sister-in-law Laurina Ross and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Diane enriched our lives with her kind and gentle ways, her sense of fun and infectious laughter. She enjoyed times shared with family, and friends, and of special note, the company and creative times shared with her art buddies. Di's love and appreciation of nature and the simple pleasures found around us were expressed in her elegant works of art. She was a shining example of patience and love that has been passed on to her sons and their families. Diane was predeceased by parents George and Esther Allan, William and Marie-Louise McLaughlin, Mick McLaughlin, Julie McLaughlin, Doris and Joe Richard, and Doug Ross. In keeping with Diane's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, August 4 at 11:00 a.m., at the United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota St. If friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
