Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRODNEY ALLAN KEEDWELL May 2, 1943 -July 31, 2011 It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Rod Keedwell after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). His memory will forever be treasured by his entire family; wife, Jean; daughters Jacinda of Lethbridge and Tamara of Winnipeg; his brother Wayne (Dianne) and family from Calgary and Jean's family from Biggar, SK. Rod was born in Saskatoon, SK where he spent his early years and met the love of his life, Jean. Together they established themselves in Winnipeg and were blessed with two loving daughters. Over the years they formed a wide circle of treasured friends. Rod was respected by his peers for his personal values and strong business ethics, which served him well as he evolved into a successful manufacturers agent. His infectious personality, quick wit and never-ending supply of jokes made him a larger than life character, who had the ability to make everyone he met laugh. He was a very caring friend known for his generous heart, endearing smile and warm hugs. The family are extremely appreciative to the caring and compassionate staff at the Brummitt-Feasby ALS House in Winnipeg for their exceptional care. Without their support, this difficult journey would have been much harder. A celebration of Rod's life will be held Saturday, August 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. The family requests that memorial donations in Rod's memory be made to BrummittFeasby ALS House c/o ALS Society of Manitoba, 493 Madison Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3J 1J2.
