MARIA HARGRAVE It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Maria Hargrave on August 2, 2011 at the age of 53, loving wife, friend and partner of Ed. Children left to cherish her memory are son Adam (Jackie), daughter Melissa and granddaughter Samantha. She is survived by her father Elio, brother Franco (Silvia) of British Columbia, brother Marco, brother Natalino, sister Elsa (Ron), sister-in-law Judy and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother Angelina and brother Marcello. Born in Udine, Italy on August 6, 1957, Maria was an immigrant to Canada in 1961. She was raised in Winnipeg with strong morals and beliefs and was very proud of her heritage. She married Ed in August of 1982 and from there they built a life together while raising their two children. Maria worked for 14 years at Maple Leaf Consumer Foods where she will be missed by her co-workers and friends. Maria had a love for all animals. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, being at the lake and relaxing at home in her backyard. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her deeply, loving heart and friendly, outgoing demeanor. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and understanding as well as the paramedics and fire rescue crew. Viewing will be held on August 5 at 11:00 a.m., at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with memorial service following at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H. officiating. Interment at Holy Ghost Cemetery with reception to follow at Cropo Funeral Chapel. If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
