CLARA MENZA (CAPONE)

CLARA MENZA (nee CAPONE) On August 1, 2011 Clara passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Pietro and Sabatina Capone. Clara will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ugo Ricco, daughter Patrizia (Gary) Crumb, son John (Donna) Menza, grandsons Michael and Alexander Menza, and Sean Crumb, brother Remo (Heather) Capone, and nephew Sebastian Capone, as well as other family and friends. Clara was born on June 28, 1934 in Montefalcione, Avellino, Italy. She moved to Winnipeg in 1954 and started her career in hairdressing, and retired from cosmetology at Kildonan East Collegiate as a Para-professional in 1995. Clara loved working with children of all ages and spent many years teaching Catechism at Holy Rosary Church. Mom will be greatly missed by all of us, especially her stubborn way, great sense of humour and never ending smile that could brighten up any room! A Prayer Vigil will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday August 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Father Sam Argenziano as celebrant. We would like to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital of 7A West and the Palliative Care staff for all their care and support.
