RALPH SINCLAIR February, 1, 1949 - August 1, 2011 With great sadness we announce the passing of our Husband, Father, Papa, Brother and Uncle. Ralph passed away Monday, August 1, 2011, surrounded by his family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ralph was born February 1, 1949 in Winnipeg, MB to Ray and Edith Sinclair. He lived in Lockport until 1974 and spent the remainder of his life in Calgary, AB. Ralph is survived by his loving wife Bea, daughters, Raelene (Dave), Kerris; son Devon; granddaughters, Jade, Alexis, Shayla; grandsons, Robbie and Kase; sisters, Lynne Billington of Calgary and Louise Long of Lockport, MB and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews whose love for their uncle will never be surpassed. Also mourning his loss is all of Bea's family who loved him like a brother. Ralph has fought many battles over the last six years resulting in a lung transplant in 2008. Ralph took every medical diagnosis in stride and came out a fighter. During the process cancer got the better of him and in Ralph's own words My luck has run out . His courage, determination, kindness, and most of all his sense of humour was admired by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Ralph was loved and respected by everyone he met. His generosity and guidance will live on. He enjoyed many of the fine things life had to bring but enjoyed his family most of all. Ralph was a dedicated employee of Telus Communications for over 25 years and held many different positions. I know he will be sadly missed by all his co-workers. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lung Transplant Team and all the staff of Unit 39 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital who took such wonderful care of Ralph in his last days. We are truly grateful for all the love and support you provided. At Ralph's request there will be no formal service. A Private Family Ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PAH Greatest Needs Fund, Calgary Health Trust, Peter Lougheed Centre (3500 - 26 Ave NE Calgary, AB T1Y 6J4). • Ralph was the best manager I ever worked for. He always made you think. If I said something without thinking it thru, he would question me. He was a great man. When I wanted to join the Military, I used Ralph as a reference. With his help I enlisted. I hope i can help some one as Ralph helped me Arlen Peterson Lt.
