NELLIE KASMERSKI SERBYNIUK (nee OSADCHUK) Peacefully with her family by her side, Nellie passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Nellie was born on January 14, 1928 in Brokenhead, Manitoba. To her family was everything. She had a lot of challenges in her life and tackled them all. From a young widow with two young children, to a mother of a large blended family. She never turned away from anyone. She loved big family gatherings or simple things like basketball or soccer games. She loved playing all sorts of card games and bingo. She also enjoyed traveling and trips to various casinos. Mom was always up for adventures and was known to not slow down. Nellie was predeacesed by her daughter Valerie and husbands Henry Kasmerski and Nick Serbyniuk. Left to cherish her memory are her children Lyle Kasmerski, Colleen (Doug) Ryland, Bill Serbyniuk, Mervin (Pat) Serbyniuk, Maryanne (Jim) Bais, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and valued friends. Her sunny smiles, bright blue eyes, sense of humour, homemade meals and baking will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank all the staff at Concordia Hospital. The level of care was excellent. A special thank you to Betty Mamrocha for all your pampering, it was all greatly appreciated. As per Nellie wishes and instructions, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A private family memorial service will be held in Beausejour at a later date.
