THOMAS HILL HUFFMAN It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and papa. Born March 7, 1931 in Napanee, Ontario and passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Rosewood Lodge Stonewall, MB with his family at his side. He is survived by wife Doreen (Brinklow), of 58 years; two sons Thomas (Jeanette), Gregory; one daughter Tracy (Cliff); six grandchildren, Michelle (Steve), Jolene (Eldon), Ryan (Jessica), Madison, Dillon, Jordyn and one great-granddaughter Mikayla. Thomas retired with 35 years service with the Federal Penitentiary ending his service as Chief Operations of Security in the prairie provinces (Saskatoon, SK). After retirement he spent the following 15 years as a member on the Citizen Advisory committee serving as Chairperson for 10 years. Over the years Dad enjoyed competitive shooting and was a member of the Manitoba Penitentiary Shooting team. He also enjoyed the social aspect of deer hunting season with his good friend Walt. As the youngest Dad was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Ida, and nine siblings Jean, Betty, Fred, Ray, Felecia, Oneida, Ross, Ward and Charles. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 9 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall. We would like to thank the Doctors and Staff of Stonewall and District Hospital and Rosewood Lodge. We appreciate all the comfort and support given to our loved one during his time with you.
