Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEILEEN FAY PHILLIPS (nee COULTER) April 13, 1925 July 29, 2011 Mom passed away peacefully at Health Sciences Centre surrounded by family. Mom was born in Winnipeg and lived her younger years in Fort Rouge. In 1945 she met Dad returning from almost six years in Europe with the RCAF 410 Squadron. A young family came along, and Mom spent that time raising us with Dad. She overcame the tragedy of losing her only daughter in 1971. She spent her later years enjoying her family, living in her condo, reading countless books and newspapers in her sunroom and enjoying a glass of wine with her supper. She loved to watch the deer and Canada geese along the Seine River. Predeceased by her parents William and Sara Coulter; her husband Doug; her daughter Lori; and her brother Roy. Thank you to the doctors and nurses on GA5 and Health Sciences Centre Emergency for their care and for making Mom comfortable in her last days. An informal gathering will be held to remember and celebrate the life of Eileen on Tuesday, August 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please donate to any charity of your choice or to St. Amant Foundation, 440 River Road R2M 3Z9.
