DIANE LAMONT It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Lamont, Thursday, August 4, 2011. Diane is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Hugh; her daughter Shaun and husband Ken. She is also survived by the light of her life...her grandchildren, Brendon, Keenan and Kiera. Diane is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Lorne and Don (Lise) and family. Diane held close to her heart her nieces and nephews, Brian (Laurie, Noah, Kevin, Kristy, Nathan), Bruce (Lori), Donna Mae (Tara, Harvey, Hailey, Lauryn), (Chris, Kristina, Adana, Jayden, Greg), Greg. She is also survived by Clarence (Eve), Alice (Bill), Cindy, Jarvis and Glenn. Diane was predecessed by her parents, Henry and Hilda; parents-in-law, Earl and Ethel; nephew Jim; and very special sister-in-law and friend Lorna. Diane worked at Dominion City CIBC for 35 years, at the same time helping Hugh build, run and maintain Lamont Trucking. Diane was what kept everything working so well. You could find her out washing down the trucks, running for parts, anything Hugh needed she was there. They truly built a life devoted to each other. Diane was very active supporting and participating in community life in Dominion City. Travelling south whether to Cavalier, ND or Masa, Arizona; Hugh and Diane enjoyed their motorhome. Then they found their heaven on earth, a very special place that they escaped to every chance they could, Longbow Lake. They have been blessed to have met a very close group of people that have become their Lake Family and who have meant the world to them. Never was there a harder worker then Diane, Diane enjoyed gardening, yard work and looking after her flowers. Diane put so much effort into making every occasion extra special. The pride and effort she put into preparing and decorating her home for Christmas was a true labour of love. Organizing family gatherings and being surrounded by those she loved was what she did best, nothing meant more to Diane then her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She had a special but yet unique relationship with each of them. Whether it be the day she was so proud of Brendon when he graduated grade 12 this June, or watching Keenan play hockey or teaching Kiera to knit. She loved every minute she could spend with them. Diane was taken too suddenly and early from us. The most caring, loving soul was loved and will be missed by so many. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dominion City United Church. Arrangements entrusted to Wiebe's Funeral Home of Altona.
