JOAN MARIE HOWELL (nee CARLSON) 1927 - 2011 Peacefully with family by her side Mum passed away August 5, 2011. Mum is predeceased by her husband Ralph and infant son Ronald. She leaves to mourn her son David (Bev), grandson Calvin (Jennifer and Drew); daughter Cathy (Greg), grandsons Jesse (Emily) and Tyson (Breann). Mum was a gentle loving lady - always had a smile - positive attitude and never complained. She worked for Canada Safeway up until her retirement. Her love of life was cooking for her family and friends and especially enjoyed the good times at the family cottage at Winnipeg Beach. I think everyone had a sample of those pickled onions . She loved watching old time movies until all hours of the night. The family wishes to thank all the family and friends who came to see her, it put a smile on her face. A very special thanks to Concordia Place. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. West.
