ANN FURDYK With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother on August 4, 2011 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Ann was predeceased by her husband Mike, daughter Mary, son-in-law Steve, sisters Mary, Bessie, Alice, Catherine, Nora, Gladys, and brother Alex. Ann will be lovingly missed by her daughter Nadia; son Michael (Ariel); granddaughter Monica (Brent) Schlamp; grandson Brent (Marylou) Furdyk, Sierra and Dylan; granddaughter Nancy (John) Spiedel, Kyle, Keegan and Connor; grandson Brad (Faye), Ronin; granddaughter Rhonda (Jon) Loeppky, Emma, Katelyn and Madison. Also mourning her passing are nine nieces, one nephew and many friends and neighbours. Ann was born in Mossey River, MB and attended Pine View School. She married Mike in 1930 and they farmed in the Fork River area until moving to Winnipeg in 1961. Ann was employed at Old Dutch Foods for many years until her retirement. Family was very important to Ann and she loved them with a selfless love that is seldom seen today. As a result of the love and care of Ann's family, she was able to remain at home until her final days. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, with interment to follow. Family would like to thank Dr. Jensen for the compassionate care shown to Ann. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Ann's name to Siloam Mission or Winnipeg Harvest.
