ANNA SCHWARZ August 23, 1924 - August 1, 2011 Anna passed away at Peace Arch Hospital on August 1, 2011, after a short illness. She was born in Vinkovci, Yugoslavia (now Croatia), and also lived a few years in Linz, Austria, where she met her husband, Frank. She and her family immigrated to Winnipeg, MB in 1952. She and Frank moved to South Surrey, BC in 1987. Anna is predeceased by her husband Frank, and daughter Elizabeth. She is survived by her brother, Steve Reff, her daughter Maria (Mitzi) Bourbonniere, granddaughter Michelle Bourbonniere, and son-in-law John Bourbonniere. Anna was a hardworking woman. Anna worked in a brickyard at the age of 10. At the age of 12 she apprenticed as a hairdresser; which became her lifelong career, Anna was an avid gardener and loved to bake. She resided at Morgan Place Seniors home for approximately two years. A special thanks to the Recreation Staff, who always made her smile. A memorial service was held on August 8, 2011.
