NORMA HARCUS (nee LABOSSIERE) September 3, 1956 - August 8, 2011 After a lifetime of illness, Norma passed away peacefully with family at her side on August 8, 2011. Norma will be lovingly remembered by her children: Chris (Colleen), Tammy (Van) and Rick; her 10 grandchildren: Kaitlyn (Caleb), Tyler, Austin, Kodey, Braidyn, Quinn, Taryn, Kristian, Emily and Ayden; her father Andre; her brothers: Pierre (Christine), Marc (Janis); sisters: Yvette, Joanne (Mario), Lynne and Collette (Mike); her sisters-in-law: Georgette, Michelle, Margaret (Alfred), Karen (Albert), and her brothers-in-law: Dennis (Ann), Kent (Sandra) and (Howard). Norma will also be missed by her friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband David, her mother Gilberte, her brothers Robert and Daniel, her brother-in-law Robert and sister-in-law Lynn. Norma loved fishing and camping with her husband in Red Lake, Ontario. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed many hours with her best friend, her sister Lynne. Before her final illness, Norma spent her last few months enjoying life at Action Marguerite (Tache Centre). Norma thrived in the new setting and will be missed by her many friends. Thanks to all of the staff and physicians at Action Marguerite for the excellent care provided. Thanks also to the staff of the Dialysis Unit, 5B and Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
