HELEN WOJTOWICZ St. Peter finally answered Helen's prayers and on August 5, 2011 she said her final Amen. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mama, babcia, coicia, neighbor and friend. Mom was born in Dzierzkowice, Poland on February 12, 1922. Helen married Franciesk Wojtowicz in Poland on February 27, 1949 and immigrated to Canada on Thanksgiving Day 1949. They built a life together in the village on Pine Ridge Road. They were devoted to each other and their family. They had come to Canada and worked hard to build a better life for themselves and their family, for which we will always be grateful. Mom was a very gentle and kind woman whose sparkly blue eyes and beautiful smile endeared her to all who met her. Mom was very social and loved visiting and enjoyed taking bus trips with her lady friends. She had many talents and we will miss her delicious cooking especially her pieroszki. She was a devoted member of St. Michael's Parish in Cooks Creek Her strong faith was what helped her endure struggles in life and especially in these last months. Her greatest love of all was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful nurses/caregivers and staff at Kin Place. There truly are angels on earth and they are the ones who took care of our dear mama. Our heartfelt thanks to Nurse Maeve who sang Amen for her in her final moments. Helen was predeceased by her loving husband Frank on March 26, 1979. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Stan (Marie), Frank, Peter (Natalie) Mary-Ann Victoruk (Bill) her grandchildren Michelle Hill (Jeff), Cheryl, Amber, Danny, Gerrett and Matthew and her great- grandchildren Corey, Brittny, Ryan and Connor. She is also survived by her sister Janka in Poland and her niece Sophie Wolkowicz and family of Winnipeg. Flowers gratefully declined, if desired, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Cooks Creek, Manitoba. Niech odpoczywa w pokoju wiecznym- Amen. May she rest in peace forever - Amen
