BERYL MAY TURNBULL Our little peanut passed away Sunday, morning, August 7, 2011 in her home she loved so dearly, with Brian, her husband of 53 years, at her side. Beryl was born in Timperley, Cheshire, England, May 11, 1936 and came to Canada as a newlywed in 1957. While raising her family, Beryl also worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia, University of Manitoba, Coughlin Insurance, and freelanced as a manuscript typist. Beryl had great strength of character and although small in stature, she had an enormous heart, caring for so many. She was a very good friend to all: neighbours, birds and animals. She loved the garden and the wildlife the river brought to it. Constantly humming as she went about her day, the cheerful nature of our happy hummer was always evident. She and Brian enjoyed 13 glorious years at their winter home in South Pasadena, Florida. Beryl was predeceased by a brother Trevor and a sister Muriel and leaves to treasure her memory her husband Brian, daughter Karen, son Ian (Charlize), two grandsons Kade and Brayson, two granddaughters Pazia and Makenna (Toyne), a sister Barbara (Clifford) Oakes in England, and many friends. At Beryl's request no formal service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined.
