AUDREY SWEENEY It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Audrey Sweeney, on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at the Grace Hospital in her 90th year. Remaining to forever cherish Audrey's memory are her daughter Donagh Peters (Gerry); son Robert; grandson Andrew Peters; granddaughter, Christy Keach (Greg); and great-granddaughter, Danica Keach. She was predeceased in 2011 by husband, James; and great-granddaughter, Jamie Keach. Audrey was born and raised in Winnipeg; she worked for many years in the office of the St. James YMCA, retiring in 1983. Mother also enjoyed her many years as an active member of the Kinsmen Reh-Fit Centre and the many pleasant hours spent there with friends. Audrey was caring and devoted to her late husband, James and to her children Donagh and Robert. Mother took great joy in her family and was always there for us with compassion and support. In compliance with Audrey's wishes a private Family Interment has taken place. The family wishes to thank the staff of Grace Hospital, 3 north, as well as the staff and residents of Heritage Lodge Personal Care home for their friendship and caring. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation in Audrey's name to the charity of their choice.
