LAWRENCE SUROWICH Mr. Lawrence Surowich, aged 87 years, of Beausejour, MB, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Beausejour Hospital. He is survived by son David (Sherri); daughter Marie (Gordon Goritz); grandchildren: Christie (Greg) and Zachray; brother Casmir; sisters Nellie, Mary and Virginia; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Junie, wife Minnie, sister Carol, and parents Martin and Rose Surowich. Lawrence was born in the Green Oak area. Lawrence and Minnie were married in 1952. They farmed in the Tyndall area, moving to Tyndall in 1980 and enjoyed their retirement. Dad enjoyed cooking for gatherings (Polish ethnic) and family functions, and also being a Jack of all Trades. Dad was also a member (a fourth degree Knight) in the Knights of Columbus for many years. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Monday, August 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. East, with Fr. Owen Steeves presiding. Pallbearers will be all those in attendance. In lieu of flowers, if friends or family desire, donations in his memory may be made to Beausejour Hospital.
