Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONCEPCION (CONNIE) DANGA DE VERA (SANGALANG) With great sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of Connie on July 6, 2011, at age 60, in Manila, Philippines. She is predeceased by her parents, Espirita and Santiago de Vera, brothers Federico and Florentino. Connie will be lovingly missed by her husband, Joel; her children, Joan, Janet (Richie), and Maribel; her grandchildren, Jessica, Judy-Anne and Noah; her sister, Cora; and her mother-in-law, Emma. She will be greatly missed by her family and good friends in the Philippines and Winnipeg. Connie was born in Mangaldan, Pangasinan, Philippines on June 4, 1951. She immigrated to Saskatoon, SK in 1975 to work as a seamstress. Shortly after, she moved to Winnipeg, MB where she studied to become a health care aide and for the next 20 years she cared for the sick and elderly at Concordia Hospital, Concordia Place and Seven Oaks Hospital. She was a devoted Roman Catholic and an avid member of the Winnipeg chapter of El Shaddai. Connie was always a positive and cheerful individual, which showed through her contagious laughter and smile. Lamay will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. (corner of Keewatin and Inkster) on Monday, August 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. on Tuesday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Enrique Samson Celebrant.
