MARGE SKRUMEDA June 4, 1952 - August 10, 2011 It is with heart breaking sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Marge on August 10, 2011, at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 59. Marge was predeceased by her parents Mary and George Skrumeda, as well as an infant brother. Marge was raised in Arbakka and Vita. Upon graduation, she moved to Winnipeg. Initially she worked at Temro Automotive. She was then hired by Canada Post, where she worked for many years, until she was diagnosed with her illness. Marge had a heart of gold. During her courageous struggle with the symptoms of her brain tumor, she never complained. She was always more concerned about the welfare of others. It was a pleasure to see Marge enjoy the treats that were brought to her at the hospital. The cookies, watermelon and especially her ice cream and Timmy's hot chocolate! Marge loved to have a good giggle. Even in her weakest moments, in her final days, she still maintained her sense of humour and made us laugh. We would like to thank all the caregivers that looked after Marge over the last 11 months at the Grace, St. Boniface and Health Science hospitals. We are extremely grateful for Marge's opportunity to spend her last days in the care and compassion of the staff at the Riverview Health Centre. We greatly appreciate all that you did for Marge! You are all angels. Marge will be sadly missed by her partner Jack and his family, her siblings, Cathy (Lyndon), Helen, George, Wilmar (Eleanor) and Michael. She will also be missed by her nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. In her last days, Marge was very cognizant of the bright colours that people where wearing. To honour her memory, we ask that those attending the service, please wear bright colours. Cremation has taken place and a service of remembrance will be held on Monday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home at 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Marge, you are now in a better place and free from your suffering. We are going to miss you terribly! Love you sweetie! Jack and your Honey Bears!
