Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE DIANNE MARIE LAMBERT It is with profound sadness that the family of Lorraine Dianne Marie Lambert (nee Brisson) announces her peaceful passing at the age of 64 at her home on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Lorraine's family will forever hold her in their hearts. Left to cherish memories are Lorraine's loving husband of 40 years, Rick, and their four children: Danielle (Steve); Christine (Ryan) and their sons Calvin and Logan; Lisanne (Ryan) and their daughter Lily; and son John. Lorraine was born to Joseph and Florida (nee Lamontagne) Brisson and grew up in St. Boniface as the little sister of Doris Strange (Barry), Lionel Brisson (Betty) and Gerry Brisson, who will all miss their sister dearly. Many nieces and nephews, including Jim Strange, Kevin Strange, Leanne Joncas, Lorraine Russell, Gerry Jr. Brisson, Joe Brisson, Tara Lambert and great-nieces and great-nephews will fondly remember Auntie Lorraine with love and smiles, as will Rick's brother Ron (Judy) Lambert. Lorraine's life centered around the love of her family. In 1966, Lorraine met a Norwood guy named Rick and they began a life of true love that will last forever. She nurtured a wonderful childhood for her children - singing, dancing, laughing, joy and silliness were fixtures at the Lambert house and the family cottage outside Beausejour. Lorraine gave her family unconditional love and encouragement, often sharing amazing insight that provided comfort and guidance. New adventures as a Grandma thrilled Lorraine and moments with her three little grandchildren were treasured. Lorraine's teaching career in St. Boniface was one of her life's passions. She invested an incredible amount of time and energy into her work, continually challenging each student to reach their unique potential. Lorraine was passionate about teaching her students how to learn. A true friend, Pepsi enjoyed reading, Scrabble, dancing, travelling, visiting, lunching and laughing, especially with her close girlfriends Joan, Lucille and Fran, with whom she had so much fun. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19 at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Drive with Fr. Fred Olds as celebrant. Lorraine's family sincerely thanks Dr. Helga Sickert and Brenda as well as the caregivers at CancerCare and the Home Palliative Care Program at St. Boniface Hospital for the professionalism and kindness they extended to Lorraine. Thanks are also extended to E.J. Coutu Co. for their support in preparing the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make a donation in Lorraine's memory to Jocelyn House Inc., 177 Egerton Rd, Winnipeg MB R2M 2W7. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
