MAY LILLIES Peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2011 May Lillies passed away at Bethania Personal Care Home in Winnipeg in her 96th year. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Sylvia Watkins of Clearwater; her husband Floyd and four brothers Ted, George, Roy and Cyril. She leaves to mourn niece Doreen, great nieces Michelle (Scott) Smith, Nicola (David) Beaudry, Brenda (Glenn) Steele, Terry Lynn (Cam) Livingstone, great nephew Christopher Guenette. Great great nieces Lauren, Ericka, Nikki (Damian), Sarah and Davina. Great great nephews Brendan, Christian, Jackson, Scott and Mitchell as well as many family members in BC and AB. May was born in Bristol, England in 1915 and came to Canada with her parents and four brothers in 1926. May worked on the family farm then moved to Winnipeg where she worked at the Honeysuckle and Eatons Bake Shop. She married Floyd Lillies on August 2, 1958, spending their lives in Winnipeg and BC. In retirement May helped with the disabled children at the Sherbrook Pool and also enjoyed knitting and tending her flower gardens. A sincere thank you to the Poiseidon and Bethania Personal Care Homes for their compassion and care given to May. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Poseidon or Bethania Personal Care Homes or the George Guenette Endowment fund at St. Boniface Hospital Research. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
