HOPE ALEXANDRA ALLEN
Born: Jul 04, 2007
Date of Passing: Aug 14, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHOPE ALEXANDRA ALLEN On Sunday, August 14, 2011 our little Hopey died peacefully at home. Left to forever cherish Hope's memory are her parents, Alex and Jolene; brother Brodie; sister Mira; grandparents Lawrence and Joan Allen of Carman, Armin and Joan Neufeld of Killarney; great-grandparents Aurelie Forster of Carman, John and Mary Falk of Killarney and Abe Neufeld of Winnipeg; as well as by a large and loving extended family. She was lavished with love and affection and out-lived her limited life expectancy. She was predeceased by her sister, Ashley in March of this year. When Hope was born on July 4, 2007, we knew that she might be diagnosed with the same disorder as her sister, Ashley. At seven days old, the diagnosis of Adenylosuccinase Lyase Deficiency was confirmed and our hearts were breaking. In the first 14 months of her life, Hope was joyful, bouncy and full of beautiful life. We will always remember her incredible smiles, and happy spirit. Although seizures and an unstable stomach dominated her last years, she still found some energy for the occasional smile. Her favourite moments were listening to the sounds of her siblings and feeling our arms as we cuddled her. Hope, we love you and miss you. You were a blessing and an inspiration to our family and we wouldn't give you up for anything. We know that you are running and laughing with your sister in heaven now, and although we cry for missing you, we truly know that you are home in the arms of our heavenly Father. Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Road, with Rev. Fr. Phil Daley, presiding. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the many dedicated people who played an important role in Hope's life: The Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC); Prairie Chiropractic; the Pediatric Palliative Care team; and her caring respite providers. If friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation (www.rccf.ca) which is the fundraising arm for RCC, which provided Hope with the expertise and equipment to make her daily life more comfortable.
