ARNOLD JAMES MURPHY November 5, 1941 August 14, 2011 It is with great sadness that on August 14, 2011, at the Health Sciences Center, Arnold James Murphy lost a short battle with cancer, at the age of 69. He fought courageously until his very last breath. His memory will be forever cherished by his family; son Allan, sisters Margaret (Tootsie) Davis, Carol (Ed) Hogue, Lillian Mackus, and Shirley Evans, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Robert, mother Margaret, two sisters Eleanor Corrigal and Dorothy McCran, one Brother Howard Murphy, three brothers-in-law Tom Evans, Kibby Davis, and Doug Mackus, two nephews Willie Corrigal and Dale Murphy, and a great nephew Cole Davis. Arnold wants us to remember him with joy and laughter, not tears and sorrow. Arnold loved fishing and hunting, as well as stock car racing with his brother. The family would like to thank all the Health Care staff at Health Sciences Centre, ward 5 GH. At Arnold's request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Little Britain Cemetery, 5879 Hwy. 9 Lockport MB, on Friday August 19, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, and whispered Come to Me . With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or your choice of charity. Knysh Funeral Home
