MARGARET CHRISTINA EMILY VERSTRAETE (nee SCHAMP) 1924 - 2011 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Margaret Christina Emily Verstraete (nee Schamp) on Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Wawanesa Personal Care Home. Margaret was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Margaret leaves to cherish in her memory her three children: Marlene, (Ray Street) of Wawanesa, MB, Joyce (Glen Urbanski) of Winnipeg and Daniel of Ninette, along with her five grandchildren: Tracy, Sandy (Joey), Jordan, Michelle and Matthew; great-grandchildren Austin, Hailey and Caiden; along with her brother, Albert Schamp and sister Lillian Morin. She was predeceased by her parents Leon and Elodie Schamp (Begyn), sisters Rosa and Rosie and by brothers Albert, Jerry, Maurice and Rene. The family of Margaret would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the Wawanesa Personal Care Home where she resided until her death. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Willmor Chapel, 415 Broadway St. Glenboro, MB with Father Phillip Malayil officiating. Reception to follow the service in the Glenboro United Church Christian Education Building. Interment will take place in the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Cemetery, Swan Lake, MB at approximately 2:00 p.m. Friends that so desire, memoriams may be made in Margaret's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st St. Brandon, MB, R7A 2W8.
