Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ANNE MALEC (nee WALL) October 23, 1921 August 13, 2011 With deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Anne Malec. Margaret was born at the farm home of her parents, the late Clifton and Nellie Wall, at Cartwright, MB in the Chesterville district. She was educated at the Chesterville School and the Cartwright High School. After graduating, she came to Winnipeg in 1940. She first worked at domestic work, leaving that to work in the Eaton's mail order, then as a proof reader for Stovel Advocate Printers for 14 years, retiring in 1954. Margaret married Casmir (Cass) in 1951. She became a homemaker and helped out with their business (Glenwood Electric). Together they raised two sons, Stan and Ralph. The family spent many years at their cottage they built at Gull Lake. Margaret enjoyed country music. In her younger years growing up in the country, she accompanied her father Clifton whom played violin. She loved to play organ, piano and guitar. She loved reading, dancing, photography and travelling. Margaret enjoyed going to John Black Memorial Church. Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother, and was very close with her only sister Jessie whom they treasured writing to each other weekly. She was predeceased by her husband Cass in 2008. Left to cherish her memory are, her sons Stan (Helen), Ralph (Sharon), grandchildren Ryan, Justin and Krystal, her sister Jessie (Dr. Maynard Amelon), five nieces, three grandnieces, three grandnephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Vista Park Lodge staff, Dr. Cavers and staff of Victoria Hospital for their compassion and understanding. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street.
