Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS EXTENCE 1925 - 2011 Thomas passed away peacefully on August 13, 2011. Left to cherish his memory are, his son Bob, (Gale) in Ontario and their daughters, Amanda and Karla, his daughter Susan (Peter) in Alberta, youngest son John in Winnipeg, as well as his extended family and friends. Dad was born in Havana, Cuba, lived there till he was ten, moved to Ottawa, ON. Thomas went to school in Ottawa where he graduated from New Lizgar high school. He joined the army in 1944 and served in Europe until 1945. He received a Canadian volunteer service medal. Dad worked for CMHC for 35+ years before his retirement. He and his wife Helen enjoyed Winnipeg and spent their retirement years here in the city. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a private family service was held. In Thomas' memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 10 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
