ALMA STORDEUR (née ARPIN) November 21, 1921 August 16, 2011 It is with profound sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mom, granny and devoted friend Alma Stordeur on August 16, 2011 at the Grace Hospital. Remaining to forever love and cherish Alma's memory, her two sons John (Louise) and Ralph (Sandra); grandchildren Craig (Lasha), Chele (Terry); great-grandsons: Kiefer, Kaedyn, Karter, Nolan, Jackson and Scott; sister Lea, sisters-in-law Sophie and Margaret Arpin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Albert; her parents Martin and Elizabeth; brothers Larry, Raymond and Arnie; sisters May, Lucille, Doris and Angela. Alma was born on November 21, 1921 in Lorette, Manitoba. After high school, she worked at Eaton's mail order until she met and married the man of her dreams. They began their life together raising a family of two sons. Alma's world revolved around her family, always offering an abundance of love and motherly care. She always enjoyed her many outings with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Mom gave love to the world and only asked for a cup of tea with a wee bit of milk. We will forever hold dear your love you gave to us, and forevermore preserve in our hearts the great memories of our life with you mom, in every petal of your favorite yellow roses and in every gentle flutter of the wings of passing butterflies. May God care for you as you did for us. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Louise King and to mom's special angel Elizabeth Greenwood, as well as all the dedicated caregivers at West Park Manor Personal Care Home. To Msgr. M. Comeault, our sincerest gratitude for the many visits with mom. For the many lives Alma touched, a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, August 23 at 1:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd. at Grant Ave. In lieu of flowers, if desired contributions may be made in Alma's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
