Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) GORDON FRIESEN With great sadness we announce the untimely passing of Bill Friesen at the Grace Hospital on August 15, 2011. Bill was born in Winkler, MB on September 10, 1938 to Jacob and Helena Friesen neƩ Neufeld. He was predeceased by three brothers, Jake, Abe and John, two sisters, Ann and Susan, and his granddaughter Christine Ann. He is survived by his wife Delma, two sons, Jaret and Christopher, daughter-in-law Jennifer and grandsons Evan and Dylan. He is also survived by his sister Helen Froese of Winkler, sisters-in-law Sarah Friesen, Helen Friesen and Therese Friesen, and many nieces and nephews. Bill grew up in Friedensruh, MB, moving to Winkler as a teenager. Bill's greatest interest was cars, and what would make them go faster. He had many jobs including auto mechanic, working on oil rigs in Alberta, truck driving, then spending 33 years working at Versatile as a journeyman in experimental product engineering until he retired in 1998. Bill was a member of the Versatile Retirees and looked forward to their meetings where he could visit with former co-workers and friends. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
