Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY JAMES March 20, 1932 - August 19, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Mary, at the St. Boniface Hospital. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Julia and Peter Frankoff, and two brothers, John and Morris Medwid. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years marriage, Alexander; sons Laurie (Cindy) and Linley (Maria) and grandchildren Dalayna and Brianna. Mary is also survived by her sister, Ann (John) and their two sons, Gerald and Harvey, and family. Mary grew up in Garland, Manitoba and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Bachelor of Education. Thereafter, she enjoyed a long career of teaching at Wayoata Elementary School and later at Springfield Heights School. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 23 at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Parish, 400 Day Street, and the interment will follow at Transcona Cemetery, 5014 Dugald Road.
