ROBERT (BOB) JORDON September 8, 1952 August 19, 2011 Peacefully, on August 19, 2011, Bob Jordon passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 58 years. Born in Rush Springs Oklahoma, adoptive parents Nancy and Brack Jordon. Bob is survived by his wife Sharon (Spilak); daughter Jessica Smith; grandson Austin Lee; granddaughter Kate Madison; brother Curtis Kirkpatrick (Mabel) Texas; aunt Mary Melnifoff (San Francisco) and cousins: sisters-in-law Pat (Hugo) Yorkton; Judy (Gerard) New Zealand; and Audrey (Neal) Yorkton. Bob grew up in California and Hawaii. He met his wife while traveling in Canada, and for the most part spent his adult life in Winnipeg. He drove for Winnipeg Transit and went on to work in the Transit office becoming the Customer Information Coordinator. He enjoyed working on Telebus ensuring its components were operational 24/7 route specific timetables, Manitoba Telephone Transit Guide route changes and brochures, on-street timetables and route maps, Winnipeg Transit web page and Navigo. Once he retired, he became a Commissionaire and enjoyed employment at the Winnipeg Federal Laboratory. Bob obtained a certificate of Public Sector Administration from Red River College and took many management courses offered by the city. He once described himself as a results-oriented and high energy guy. He loved to laugh and have fun, especially with his grandchildren. He always felt blessed with them. He especially loved to cook, changing seasonings at will. One never knew what the taste of macaroni and cheese would be from one time to the next. He especially loved Mexican food and we will miss his enchiladas. According to Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. His ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. P.G. Mehta, the physicians and staff at CancerCare Manitoba and the staff at Riverview Palliative Care for their help and kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Funeral Home Crematorium 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca
