MARIA MENHEER-KLINK Peacefully following a brief illness, it is with joy and sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Menheer on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the age of 93 years at Concordia Place, Winnipeg, MB. Maria will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Maria is survived by her children, John (Margaret), Leonard (Marta), Bill, Nellie (Dennis), Eileen (Larry), and Mary (Norman); grandchildren, Jon (Tanis), Laura (Mike), Daniel (Michelle), Linda, Chris (Robin), Mark (Jody), Heather, Eli, Clarisse, and Maria; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Emily, Matthew, Kahlen, Logan, Reagan, and Tarren. She is also survived by her sister, our Tante Pie. Mom was predeceased by her husband Arie Menheer in May 1982. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Transcona Christian Reformed Church, 131 Victoria Ave. West, Winnipeg, MB. Interment will follow after the service at Green Acres Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff on the third floor of Concordia Place, and to John Friesen, Chaplain at Concordia Place for their loving care and support of Mom while she was with them. Donations may be made in memory of Maria to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
