Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD (HARRY) ROY KELLY On August 20, 2011, Dad passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital, just a few days shy of his 85th birthday. Dad was born August 25, 1926, near Roblin, Manitoba, to Roy and May Kelly. He had two siblings, Mervyn, and Alison. As the result of an accident, Dad lost his father when he was just ten, forcing the family to split up. Dad then spent several years living with the Joe Dugan family of Castleavery, Manitoba, before the family reunited in Winnipeg. Dad enlisted in the army, where he served for one year. After his discharge, he married Yvette Marie Auger on June 3, 1949, and resided in Winnipeg for most of his adult life. He was employed by the C.N.R. in sales for over 40 years, retiring in 1988. Dad was predeceased by his parents and his brother Mervyn, and in 2003 by his wife Yvette. He is survived by his sons, Neil (Brenda), Blair (Heather), and his daughter, Elaine (Gilles Bergeron), as well as grandchildren, Dawn (Chris), Leanne (Mathieu), Aileen, Kyla, and Hannah, and seven great-grandchildren. Harry was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed many expeditions with his sons and friends. He engaged in several business ventures, developing a wide network of friends through these endeavours. Dad was a resident at Catherine Place for three years, and then entered ActionMarguerite (formerly Taché Centre) in February 2011. The family would like to thank Dr. Robin Sen and Dr. Sheldon Permack, as well as the staff at Catherine Place, ActionMarguerite, and the sixth floor Family Medicine staff of St. Boniface Hospital for the dedication and compassion they provided to our father and grandfather. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and celebration of Dad's life is planned for 11:00 a.m. on August 25, 2011, at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodière Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R2J 3X2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harold's name to Duck's Unlimited, or to a charity of one's choice.
