DOLORES DUBROW It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, Oma, aunt and wife. Mom fell asleep peacefully, in the comfort of her home on Thursday, August 18, 2011. Mom leaves to mourn her loving family, her children, Birgit (Ray) Molinski, Jens (Elizabeth) Dubrow, and her grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha Molinski; her nephew, Frank (Ria) Dubrow, and their children Sandy (Noah) and Conny (Jeremy); as well as many friends and relatives, here and in Germany. She was predeceased in 2003 by Gerhard, her loving husband of 46 years. Dolores was born in Berlin, Germany in 1934, and lived there for 40 years. In 1974, she and Gerhard moved the family to Winnipeg, to begin a new phase in their lives. For many years she worked in the garment industry, and was well respected for her craft, and fondly remembered by her co-workers. Mom has been in retirement for 20 years, and has enjoyed travelling, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was particularly fond of her grandchildren, and always made time for them. Dolores and Gerhard spent many years travelling together, and enjoyed returning to Berlin on a regular basis, to visit friends and family. They also enjoyed spending time with Jens and Elizabeth in Toronto. After Dad's passing, Mom continued her travels, often with Birgit and Ray. At home, she cared for the garden that Gerhard had created with such passion. Mom has dealt successfully with heart disease for many years, and the family is especially grateful for the compassionate and excellent care, given by her physician, Dr. J. Bergen. It is through his dedication, that Mom enjoyed a good quality of life until her passing. Also, the family would like to thank all our friends and family, for their wonderful support, during this difficult time. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a service in her memory will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Interment will take place following the service at Green Acres Cemetery. Flowers are appreciated, or if friends so desire, donations may be made in Mom's memory to a charity of their choice. Mom, you will always be with us in our many fond memories of the times we shared. You were always a great comfort to us. Until we meet again! Dieter u. Gabi - Posted by: Dieter und Gabi Rabe () on: Apr 26, 2016
