NOEL DANIEL LANGEDOCK December 25, 1923 August 20, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Noel Langedock, at Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 87 years. Noel was predeceased by his parents August and Alida Langedock and infant daughter Irene. He was an only child and a lonely child marrying Margaret Bockstael to have five healthy children: David (Madeline), Frances (Len) Anderson, Helen Townsend, Michael (Nannette) and last but not least Yvonne (Glen) Vincent; eight grandsons: Adam and Aaron Anderson, Keith, Colin, Cameron and Chad Langedock, Sean Vincent and Brant Townsend, also only granddaughter Julia Vincent; also four great- grandsons Kyle, Liam, Konnor and Karter. Noel was born in St. Boniface, went to Provencher School. Following school he became a carpenter at Acme Sash and Door, then he joined the Air Force Band in 1942, then back to Acme Sash and Door when he was laid off at Christmas 1951. He then worked at Canadian National Railway Transcona nights for two years; then Bockstael Construction for a week till his accident. He worked for Walter Wray Windows, then finally a school custodian at Tache and Provencher Schools retiring from General Vanier in October 1987. Noel was a musician most of his life, learning clarinet from his father, then in bands: Air Force, La Verendrye Legion, Winnipeg Concert Band and the Belgian Club. He also joined the choir at Belgian Sacred Heart Church where he met Margaret then becoming choirmaster for 20 years. Noel enjoyed woodworking and spent hours building cabinets, cradles, clocks, one of which hangs proudly in each of his children's homes. Noel also contributed to hundreds of Margaret's knitted sweaters drilling holes in brand new pennies. He looked forward to spending special occasions with family. What a gift it was then to be able to celebrate his 60th wedding anniversary with Margaret and extended family. Special thanks to staff at Deer Lodge Centre and Dr. Lee Cummings. A funeral mass celebrating Noel's life will be held on Friday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Timothy Parish, 135 John Forsyth Rd., with Father Kevin Bettens officiating.
