THOMAS (TOM) GEORGE FRASER July 10, 1940 August 21, 2011 Thomas (Tom) George Fraser beloved husband of June Fraser of DeWinton, AB passed away with family by his side on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the age of 71 years. Tom was educated in Winnipeg where he grew up, met and married the love of his life, June. There, he worked in the grocery business enjoying life with June while raising their son Randy. Work took him to Calgary at the age of 48 when Superstore asked him to manage their stores in Western Canada. While in Calgary, he was promoted to Senior Vice-President. June and Tom were married for 52 wonderful years and enjoyed life to the fullest. They were very involved with breeding and showing Westies, and made many friends pursuing their passion. They also spent many good times in Florida over the past several years. Tom leaves behind wife June; son Randy (Yvonne); sister Kathy (Rick); brother Don (Bernice); grandchildren, Jessica, Jenna and Kendall; great-grandchild Mackenzie; and sister-in-law Lynda (Chris) Emery. Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his larger than life personality, quick wit, abundance of patience, and his gentle guiding manner. He was loved and highly respected by all who knew and worked with him. He was predeceased by his mother and father, George and Jean Fraser. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held at McINNIS HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E. Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. A service to be held in Winnipeg will be announced at a later date. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
